Five persons on Sunday died in an accident, which occurred on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos State.
The accident occurred near the UNILAG waterfront, inward Iyana-Oworonshoki.
Michael Akindele, the General Manager of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, confirmed this in a statement on Sunday in Lagos.
Akindele said the accident involved a LAGBUS, a Hilux pick up belonging to a local vigilance group and a Rover jeep.
He said: “Five persons comprising: three female adults and two children died in the accident.
At least, five persons were feared killed when a warehouse in Area A of the Nigerian Ports Authority in Port Harcourt collapsed.
The incident, which happened at about 5pm on Saturday, was said to have caused confusion within the NPA in the Rivers State.
It was learnt that the warehouse was an old facility used in storing Dangote salt.
An NPA worker said that five persons were found in the rubble after a search was conducted a few minutes after the collapse.
