The Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has filed new charges against former Minister of Niger Delta, Godsday Orubebe, before an Abuja High Court, for allegedly diverting close to N2 billion naira meant for the dualisation of Section IV of the East-West Road.

A level six officer with the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, Christy Olabode, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission for allegedly diverting and stealing N70m belonging to the agency.
Until her suspension from the agency, Olabode worked in the Accounts Department, where she diverted the said amounts between 2013 and 2016, using different accounts of FAAN employees until the fraud was discovered by the management.

A popular political thug in Akure, the Ondo State Capital, Mr. Adeleye Fayehun (aka Ade-Basket) has been arrested by police for allegedly assaulting a 44 year-old pregnant woman, Mrs. Adenike Adeolu.
Fayehun, who is also into timber business was said to have beaten the woman to a coma over timber transaction business.

For allegedly biting off a police officer’s skin, a 50-year-old man, Totoola Adetunji, was on Monday arraigned at an Igbosere Magistrates’ Court, Lagos.
Adetunji, whose address was not given, is facing trial on a four-count charge of conspiracy, assault, breach of peace and obstruction.
