The Federal Government on Wednesday conceded to the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) some of its demands by appointing Mohammed Buba as the chairman of board of Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA).
Buba was former Managing Director of Petroleum Products Marketing Company (PPMC). The board of PPPRA, which has the statutory role of determining and fixing the prices of petroleum products, has not been constituted for over four years.

The Chairman House Committee on Colleges of Agriculture in the House of Representatives, Hon. Linus Okorie, Tuesday urged President Muhammadu Buhari to resign for removing petroleum subsidy and increasing the pump price of fuel.
Okorie said President Buhari had promised Nigerians severally that he will not remove fuel subsidy and will not increase the pump price only to make a u-turn, describing the President as an “insincere person”.
