    Major reason why we proceeded with strike despite court injuction – Ayuba Wabba over fuel price hike

    A faction of the Nigeria Labour Congress led by Ayuba Wabba has justified why it went ahead with its nationwide strike despite a court injunction secured from the National Industrial Court by the Federal Government.

    Wabba said the strike was meant to keep a date with the Federal Government and the people of Nigeria, especially on its neo-liberal policies and how it was causing hardship on the people.

    A group of youths under the aegis of Buhari Youth Organisation, has called on the Nigerian Labour Congress to cancel its planned strike in protest against increase in price of petrol.

    As part of measures to cushion effects of the recent increase in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), Lagos State Governor Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, has injected 50 high capacity buses into the operations of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) scheme.
