    Oshiomhole appoints Utomi, Kukah into varsity governing council

    Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, has appointed Professor Pat Utomi as Chairman Governing Council, Edo University, Iyamho.

    The governor, who inaugurated the nine-man Council, Wednesday, said his vision was to midwife a first-class university for the state and turn Edo State to the hub of tertiary education in the country.

    External members of the Governing Council of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State have petitioned President Muhammadu Buhari over the dissolution of the varsity Council.

    Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council of the university, Prof. Rowland Ndoma-Egba, signed the letter on behalf of four others including Arc Omoyele Daniel, Chief Moses Otazi, Hon. Tajjani Goni Guzamala and Barrister S.I. Ameh (SAN).

    Enugu State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, has appointed Prof. Augustine Nweze as the new Rector of the Institute of Management and Technology.
