    Ex-NAF chief, accused of corruption, granted bail

    A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Monday granted bail to retired Air Vice Marshal Tony Omenyi, who was accused of illegally transferring over N130 million to a private company account.

    Mr. Omenyi was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on a three-count charge bothering on illegal transfer of money on three different occasions.

    He was accused of carrying out the crime while serving as the Managing Director of Aeronautical Engineering and Technical Services Ltd. (AETSL).

    Joe Fortemose Chinakwe, aka Joachim Iroko, the man who named his dog ‘Buhari’, was yesterday arraigned before a Magistrates’ Court in Ota, Ogun State.

    The accused faced a one-count charge of conduct likely to cause breach of peace.

    Fayose’s ally, Agbele, granted bail

    Justice Nnamdi Dimgba of the Federal High Court, Abuja, has granted Abiodun Agbele, an ally of the Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, bail.

    The court said it recognized the importance of presumption of innocence of an accused until proven guilty.

    Agbele is to provide two sureties who must sign bail bond of N250 million each.

    The sureties must also have property in Abuja or
