    Marijuana Extract can Help Treat Severe Epilepsy, says Researchers

    A compound found in marijuana could help in treating people with certain types of epilepsy that are difficult to treat, researchers from the University of Alabama at Birmingham say.

    The researchers, in two new studies, found that cannabidiol oil (CBD), a compound found in cannabis, has reduced the frequency and severity of seizures in children and adults with severe, intractable epilepsy.

    The National Centre for AIDS and STD Control of Nepal on Thursday said the Rate of HIV infections and deaths had sharply dropped in Nepal, a report released said.

    A drastic 22-per cent decline of HIV positive was recorded in Nepal over a period of 10 years, said the report unveiled by NCASC on the World AIDS Day.
