A 20-year-old man, Mansur Bashir of Kabusa area of the Federal Capital Territory, on Friday pleaded guilty to dealing on cannabis sativa.
Bashir was arraigned before a Federal High Court, Abuja, by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), for being in possession of 400 grammes of cannabis sativa.
The accused took his plea in Hausa language through an interpreter.
He was alleged to have committed the offence in the Kabusa area of the Federal Capital Territory in August.

It was gathered that the Faggae Outpost of the Kano State Hisbah Board (Sharia Police) on Monday said it had commenced the prosecution of 11 women for allegedly engaging in social vices.
Salisu Umar, the Commander, Special Services of the board, told the News Agency of Nigeria in Kano that the suspects were apprehended around the Sabongari area in the metropolis.

According to reports, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on Tuesday, arraigned a 23-year-old deaf and dumb man, Abass Hamed, in a Federal High Court in Lagos for drug peddling.
The NDLEA Prosecutor, Mr Jeremiah Aernan, told the court that the accused was arrested on Feb.18, 2014, along Agege Motor Road in Lagos.
