    A HIV/AIDS patient has found himself in even more trouble after he was found out to have committed a grievous crime.

    Adeyemo Babatunde Akanni, alias Adeyanju Williams, an AIDS patient, has been sentenced to jail.

    Boko Haram: 5000 people living with HIV/AIDS in IDP camps

    Mr. Hassan Mustapha, the Coordinator on HIV/AIDS in Borno, has said no fewer than 5,000 Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in 27 camps in Borno are currently living with HIV/AIDS.

    Mustapha stated this during an interview with newsmen in Maiduguri on Thursday.

    He said that most of the patients were women who were rescued from captivity in Boko Haram camps.

    The coordinator, however, said that some of those affected were not effectively accessing antiretroviral therapy because of stigmatization.
