    Lagos CJ frees 20 inmates at Ikoyi Prisons

    In exercise of her constitutional powers, the Lagos State Chief Judge,  Justice Oluwafumilayo Atilade, on Tuesday released 20 inmates of Ikoyi Prisons awaiting trial.

    Atilade, who made the pronouncement at a mini-court session conducted at the prisons, told the inmates:“Go and sin no more”. The gesture was part of activities marking the 2016/2017 legal year.

    As part of activities to mark the 2016 New Legal year, the Chief Judge of Lagos State, Justice Oluwafunmi Atilade, will on September 27 visit the Ikoyi Prisons.

    According to the Director of Admin and Human Resources on behalf of the Legal Year Committee, M.O Shasanya, the programme for the week long event would include a Church Service at the Christ Cathedral Church, Marina on September 26.
