The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, says less than one per cent of the card readers deployed for the conduct of Ondo State governorship election malfunctioned.
INEC Deputy Director of Voter Education and Publicity, Nick Dazang, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, on Saturday in Abuja.

The All Progressives Alliance (APC), candidate in yesterdays gubernatorial elections in Ondo state, Rotimi Akeredolu has been declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
Akeredolu according to the result announced by the Chief Returning Officer, Prof. A. Ambali, won the election with 244,842 votes to defeat his closest rival, Eyitayo Jegede of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) who polled 150,380 votes.

Chief Olusola Oke of the Alliance for Democracy, ( AD) had 126,889 votes.
