Author, playwright and human rights activist, Senator Shehu Sani, has said that there is nothing wrong in inviting ex-president Goodluck Jonathan to expatiate on his claim that his former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd,) did not steal $2.1bn arms fund.
Jonathan had stated that it was inconceivable to say that Dasuki stole the arms fund, arguing that his government, where Dasuki served as the NSA, bought warships, aircraft and a lot of equipment for the military during the period.
According to reports, the National Judicial Council has described the invasion of the residences and arrest of some serving and suspended judicial officers by the Department of Security Services (DSS) as a threat to the independence of the judiciary, adding that no judicial officer shall be invited by any institution in the country, including the DSS, without complying with the rule of law and due process

The police on Thursday denied allegations that it invited for questioning the representative of Ogun East Senatorial District, Senator Buruji Kashamu, in order to extradite him to the United States of America to answer to drug-related charges.
Rather, the police said Kashamu was invited over allegations of threat to life, a complaint lodged against him by a member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu.
