    I paid workers’ salaries before Sallah – Governor Ishaku

    Taraba State governor, Arch. Darius Ishaku, has disclosed that he paid salaries of all categories of workers in the state to enable them celebrate the Eid-el-Fitr festivities with joy and happiness.

    Ishaku, who spoke to through the permanent secretary Bureau for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, in an interview, said since he assumed office, he had gone extra mile to pay workers at the end of every month.

    Gov. Ishaku suspends state varsity worker

    Governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba has directed the state-owned university in Jalingo, to suspend all employments it carried out from May 29, 2015 to date.

    This is contained in letter with reference number MOE/S/34/169 dated March 22, signed by one Bala Fwadu, for the state Commissioner for Education.

    The letter, addressed to the Registrar, Taraba State University, on Monday, indicated that the directive was with immediate effect.
