    Fire guts Jos terminus market

    About 100 shops in Jos Terminus Market have been razed by fire.

    Executive Secretary, Plateau State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Alhassan Barde, said the fire which started around midnight, raged on till the early hours of Thursday.

    He said that the cause of the fire was yet to be determined, but that affected shops were consumed totally.

    A Jos Chief Magistrate’s Court on Thursday sentenced two women, Karkuzu Raymond, 50, and Stella Alechenu, 45, to 10 months imprisonment each, for receiving stolen rice and beans.
