Nasrul-Lahi L Fatih Society, NASFAT, has described the late former Sultan, Alhaji Ibrahim Dasuki who died recently at the age of 93 as a man of honour, a patriot and a leader who stood for justice.
NASFAT said Dasuki’s death was no doubt a big loss to the entire ummah, the Sokoto caliphate and particularly his immediate family.

Minister of Interior, Retired Lt.-Gen. Abdulrahman Danbazau, said former National Security Adviser, retired Col. Sambo Dasuki, on Monday declined an offer to visit his late father, Ibrahim Dasuki, in an Abuja hospital.
Similarly, Danbazau said Sambo had declined another offer to be in Sokoto throughout the mourning of his Father.

A 52-year-old Nigerian evangelist based in South Africa, John Arinze, has been arrested by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, for allegedly attempting to export N1.4bn worth of narcotics to South Africa.

Togo honoured former coach Stephen Keshi, who died in June, by playing a tribute match on Sunday.
Nigerian Keshi, who died suddenly aged 54, was appointed head coach of Togo three times between 2004 and 2011.
