Appeals have gone out to members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and other Igbos to accept the outcome of today’s court ruling on the bail application of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu to avoid unnecessary killing of unarmed civilians by security agents.
The appeal was made by IPOB leadership which said it was not expecting anything good from the court because the president had ordered the judiciary not to release its leader, during his media broadcast on December 30, 2015.

A former Prime Minister of Kenyan, Raila Odinga, has described former Nigerian President, Goodluck Jonathan as hope for democracy in Africa.
He said Jonathan by conceding defeat in the 2015 election gave credibility to electoral process in Nigeria and Africa.

According to reports, the Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta, MEND, has berated some of the Niger Delta Leaders who met with President Muhammadu Buhari over the persistent crises in the oil rich region.
MEND described most of the leaders as “vultures, dead wood and corrupt politicians.”
It explained that the failure of the leaders to spell out the agreement earlier reached with the Federal Government when they met with the President was irresponsible, hence the latest attack on oil facilities.
President Muhammadu Buhari and some prominent leaders and stakeholders in the Niger Delta yesterday began to find lasting solutions to the crises in the oil-rich region.
