    Onigbinde commends Rangers for winning league after 32 years

    A former Super Eagles Head Coach, Adegboye Onigbinde, on Monday said that Rangers International FC of Enugu winning the 2015/2016 Nigeria Professional Football League after 32 years of drought was commendable.

    Onigbinde told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that the NPFL could be better organised than what obtained at the moment.

    NAN reports that Rangers sealed its victory with a 4-0 defeat of El- Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri on Sunday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.

    The goalkeeper of a Cameroonian women’s side has died after collapsing during a warm-up session, the Cameroon Football Federation has said. Jeanine Christelle Djomnang, 26, became ill before a Femina Stars Ebolowa match in southern Cameroon on Sunday, and died on her way to hospital.
