    Nigerian laws are too lenient to punish drug offenders – Ex-NAFDAC chief

    It was gathered that the immediate past director general of the National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Dr. Paul Orhii, has stated that Nigerian laws are too lenient and relax to punish drug counterfeiters.

    Orhii, who said this in a chat with journalists in Makurdi yesterday, maintained that such laws promote sale of fake drugs in the country, rather than curtail it, thereby posing a big problem in the West African sub region, particularly in Nigeria.
