    Recession: FG to use State, LG Reform Project to boost economy

    It was gathered that the Federal Ministry of Budget and National Planning says it will use the outcome of the just concluded State and Local Governance Reform Project to boost the economy.

    The Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Fatima Mede, stated this in a statement issued by the SLOGOR Project Communication Officer, Ebenezer Ajewole, on Sunday in Abuja.

    Finance Minister, Mrs Kemi Adeosun, on Tuesday, revealed that the Federal Government, the 36 states and local governments shared a total of N510.270 billion as revenue allocation for August 2016. The figure was N16.44 billion higher than N493.828 billion shared in July.

    The only local government area in Nigeria without a secondary school has just secured one.

    Gudu Local Govern­ment Area in the state has suffered the misfortune of having some of the worst statistics in education in the world.
