    It was gathered that the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) on Saturday in Lagos says the subtle enforcement of speed limit is only on commercial and fleet operators, while that of private vehicles will commence in 2017.

    FRSC to track down speed limit defaulting motorists from January 2017

    It was gathered that the Kaduna Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, has flagged off the 2016 ember month patrol, warning that it would track down motorists who failed to install the speed limiting device as from January 2017.

    FRSC begins enforcement of speed limit device

    As the Federal Road Safety Corps begins the enforcement of the speed limit device installation nationwide today (Saturday), motorists plying the Sokoto highways, especially commercial drivers, have been warned to comply with the installation of the device in their vehicles.

    Failure to comply, according to the Deputy Corps Commander, Yusuf Aliyu Haruna, would lead to the defaulting vehicles being impounded, until the device is installed.

    Installation of speed limit device legal – FRSC

    Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Tuesday said the planned installation of the speed limiting device on vehicles plying public roads by the FRSC on October 1 is not illegal as viewed in some quarters.

    The corps said the plan is in accordance with section 10 subsection (3m) of the FRSC Establishment Act 2007.
