A former Special Adviser on Domestic Affairs to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Waripamo Dudafa, on Friday lost his bid to nullify the guilty plea by four companies linked to Jonathan’s wife, Patience.
Justice Babs Kuewumi dismissed the application because it was unmeritorious.
The companies, on September 15, pleaded guilty to laundering $15,591,700 (about N5 billion) when they were arraigned.

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja yesterday turned down the request by the Federal Government to conduct secret trial of former National security Adviser, Colonel Muhammad Sambo Dasuki (rtd) in the charges of unlawful possession of firearm and money laundering brought against him in September 2015.
The court held that there was no need for the proposed witnesses to give their evidence under masked with pseudo names and addresses for the purpose of facilitating their protection as requested by government.
Justice Abdulkadir Abdu-Kafarati of Federal High Court has dismissed the fundamental rights suit filed by Senate President Bukola Saraki to stop his trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal.
Abdu-Kafarati who gave a judgement today dismissed the suit as an abuse of court process.
The judge was scheduled to deliver judgment at noon. But he arrived 30 minutes earlier.
