Out-of-favour Manchester City star Yaya Toure is believed to be seeking Maltese citizenship, which costs a million Euros.
“Yaya was recently in Malta in connection with their citizenship,” a top source informed.
Maltese citizenship will confer European citizenship to the Ivorian star and four-time African Footballer of the Year.
The 33-year-old Yaya was born in Bouake, Cote d’Ivoire and has played for several top clubs like Barcelona, Monaco and Olympiacos.
His troubles at Manchester City following the arrival of Pep Guardiola are well documented.
