According to reports, there were strong indications yesterday that 11 former ministers during the administration of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan may soon join the All Progressives Congress (APC).
It was also learnt that there is pressure on ex-Governor Jolly Nyame, Senator Andy Uba and some Senators in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to shift base to the APC.

Dr Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress [APC] in Kaduna State, has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to drop non-performing ministers.

According to reports, the Presidency, on Saturday, said it would be illegal for President Muhammadu Buhari to force government officials to declare their assets publicly.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, said this in an interview.
Shehu was asked whether the president would take any action against his ministers and heads of agencies that have refused to declare their assets or whether he will compel them to do so as part of his anti-corruption drive.

Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu revealed, in Kaduna, yesterday, that they have the mandate to investigate every government official, including ministers, irrespective of political party affiliations.
