    Another power outage paralyses activities at MMIA

    Another power outage last night paralysed activities at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Lagos.

    Hundreds of passengers on international destination were still checking in when the power went off and disrupted activities. While blackout lasted, angry passengers started calling for candles.

    As at the time of filing this report by 10p,m, the airport was still in darkness.

    Suspected gunmen kill chairman of MMIA taxi park man and his two children in Ikorodu

    The Chairman of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport taxi park, Kennedy Uzor, and members of his family were reportedly killed by unknown armed men in the Igbogbo area of Ikorodu, Lagos, yesterday.

    According to Our Newsmen, the incident occurred at Adegbose Estate Phase 2, and threw the residents into confusion.

    NDLEA arrests 45-year-old graduate with N31m drug at MMIA

    According to reports, a 45-year-old man, Abiodun Banjo, has been arrested by officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos State for alleged N31m drug trafficking.

    It was learnt that Banjo, a graduate of a technical college in Ogun State, was heading for Pretoria, South Africa, when he was arrested with the drug concealed in two bags.

    It was gathered that the suspect was allegedly caught with parcels of methamphetamine, valued at N31m.

    NDLEA recovers 193 wraps of cocaine inside passenger’s socks at MMIA Lagos

    NDLEA, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, on Friday said it recovered 193 wraps of cocaine inside a passenger’s socks at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.

    This is contained in a statement issued and signed by the agency’s spokesperson, Mitchell Ofoyeju, and made available to journalists in Lagos.

    According to the statement, the drug which tested positive for cocaine with a total weight of 3.4 kilogrammes was detected during routine screening of passengers on an Emirates flight from Dubai.

    2 Women Arrested For Drugs At Lagos Airport

    Report gathered that the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested two women for attempting to smuggle cocaine and cannabis out of Nigeria.

    The women were arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport for attempting to smuggle 4.450 kilogrammes of cocaine to India and 7 kilogrammes of Indian hemp to China.
