    College student wins Lagos City Monopoly tourney

    Eliazabeth Braimoh of Topfield College, Apapa, Lagos State on Friday won the maiden U-17 World Record Monopoly competition, tagged: “City of Lagos Monopoly Game.”

    The tourney was held at the Indoor Sports Hall of Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

    The competition, for primary and secondary schools in Lagos State, was played by 1,300 students drawn from across the state.

    The organisers of the competition had earlier predicted a world record event, which was eventually realised as students trooped out en-masse to participate.

    The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has vowed to investigate complaints of monopoly in the oil and gas sector.

    The Buhari Media Support Group, (BMSG),has appealed to the “BringBackOurGirls” (BBOG) to shelve its proposed demonstration to the Presidential Villa.
