A 22-year-old man, Abiodun Olarenwaju, was on Friday arraigned in an Abeokuta Magistrates’ Court in Ogun for allegedly stealing four cell phones worth N72, 500 in some places of worship.
The accused, whose address was not given, is facing a two-count charge of felony and stealing.
He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge preferred against him.

A suspected Boko Haram suicide bomber in the early hours of Friday attacked a mosque in Damboa, Borno State, killing six persons.
In a statement by the Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, two suicide bombers attempted to attack Damboa Central mosque which was foiled by security operatives around the mosque.

On Tuesday,an Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, Oyo State, sentenced one Akeem Adeyemi, 31, to five months’ imprisonment for stealing inside a mosque during prayers to end the day’s Ramadan fast.
Reports gathered that Adeyemi, whose address is unknown, had on Monday pleaded guilty to two counts of felony and stealing inside a place of worship.
