Former international, Mutiu Adepoju, has said that any of the players shortlisted for the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Player of the year award for 2016, have equal chances the title.
CAF recently shortlisted the Nigeria’s English Premiership trio of Mikel Obi, Ahmed Musa and Kelechi Iheanacho among other African players that include Algeria’s and Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez among others for the award of best African footballer for 2016.

Former Super Eagles player, Mutiu Adepoju, has urged the Super Eagles to concentrate on winning their remaining matches of the 2018 World Cup qualifier, saying that the 1-1 score line between Algeria and Cameroun is good enough to spur the team battle the two sides with out fear.
Adepoju who is also a member of the NFF Technical Committee, stated that the victory against Zambia, is a clear reflection that the Super Eagles are gradually regaining their strength in Africa football.
