    FG releases N2bn agric loan to Jigawa farmers

    It was gathered that the Federal Government has released N2 billion to Jigawa State as agricultural loan for rice and wheat production to dry season farmers under the Anchor-Borrower Programme.

    This was disclosed by the state’s Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Alhaji Kabiru Ali, while speaking to newsmen in Dutse.

    He said government had provided 250,000 hectares of farmland to be used by the beneficiaries of Anchor-Borrower Programme across the state.

    Twelve states currently owe the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) about N2 billion exam fees for the May/June 2016 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) Daily Sun has learnt.

    Arms scam: N2bn, 33 choice properties recovered from NAF officers – EFCC

    The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, yesterday disclosed that over N2bn and 33 choice properties have been recovered from three Air Force officers involved in the $2.1bn arms procurement scam.

    The commission also revealed that only one of the properties is valued at over N1.8bn.
