    NDLEA nabs 20-year-old with 400 grammes of hemp in Abuja

    A 20-year-old man, Mansur Bashir of Kabusa area of the Federal Capital Territory, on Friday pleaded guilty to dealing on cannabis sativa.

    Bashir was arraigned before a Federal High Court, Abuja, by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), for being in possession of 400 grammes of cannabis sativa.

    The accused took his plea in Hausa language through an interpreter.

    He was alleged to have committed the offence in the Kabusa area of the Federal Capital Territory in August.

    NDLEA nabs two with €325,640, $30,000 at Lagos airport

    Officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have intercepted €325,640 and $30,000 (about N175 million) being smuggled from Greece and Austria.

    The suspected laundered money concealed inside envelopes and shoes were seized at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, during the inward screening of passengers on a Turkish airline flight.

    Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the smuggled currencies.

    Three suspected robbers who have been terrorising passers-by, broken down vehicle owners and other road users around Otedola Bridge in Lagos have been arrested by the operatives of the Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command.
