Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, Monday declared that the National Convention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), scheduled for August 17 in Port Harcourt would go on as planned, saying that there was no court order stopping the party from going on with the convention.

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, will on Monday join current and former world leaders in the U.S. for 2016 Democratic Convention.
This is contained in a statement released to newsmen in Abuja on Wednesday by APC’s Assistant Director of Publicity, Mr Edegbe Odemwingie.
According to the statement, parliamentarians, diplomats and senior political party leaders from over 100 countries will observe the nomination process of the Democratic Party’s candidate for President and Vice-President of the U.S.
