About 22 illegal refineries and oil wells have been destroyed by the Nigerian Navy in an operation in the Ogu Bolo area of Rivers State.
Reports gather that the navy, in a patrol team from FOB BONNY, destroyed 22 illegal refineries and 10 dug out wells in the area.

According to reports, the Nigeria Navy (NNS Delta) has arrested 75 persons suspected to be involved in illegal oil bunkering, militancy, kidnapping, impersonation and gun production in Delta State and other parts of the Niger Delta region.
It uncovered the gun-manufacturing workshop that specialises in producing local pistols and rifles at Opuama in Ughelli South Council. The Navy also impounded three vessels and 80 boats loaded full of stolen crude oil.
They were nabbed in an Operation Delta Safe raid on militants.
Nigerian Navy Ship Pathfinder in Port Harcourt on Tuesday impounded 253,000 litres of illegally refined diesel loaded in two vessels and one wooden badge.
