    Northern states pay highest for Kerosene -NBS

    Sokoto, Taraba and Yobe have been indicated as states with the highest average selling price of Household Kerosene (HHK) commonly called Kerosene , selling at N375, N371 and N354 respectively.

    Average kerosene price, according to the National Bureau of Statistics rose to N293 in October across most states in Nigeria, above N288 per litre recorded in September.

    A total of 92,181,978 GSM subscribers use Internet through mobile telecommunications networks, the National Bureau of Statistics has said.

    The NBS stated this in its second quarter sector report which was made available to our correspondent in Abuja on Tuesday.

    4.58million Nigerians became unemployed under Buhari – NBS

    The Nigerian Bureau of Statistics, NBS, has disclosed that in the second quarter of 2016, a total of 4.58 million Nigerians became unemployed.

    Statistics on NBS website shows that a total of 2.6m Nigerians entered the labour market as at the second quarter of 2016.

    With a spill-over from 2015, the total figure of unemployed Nigerians now stand at 4,580,602 as at the second quarter of 2016.

    Nigeria’s current economy worst in 29 years – NBS

    The Gross Domestic Product, GDP, report from the National Bureau of Statistics, NBS, says Nigeria is in its worst economic recession in 29 years.

    The report is claiming that Nigeria’s economy in the second quarter of 2016, shrank by 2.06 percent to record its lowest growth rate in almost 30 years.
