    According to reports, the Minister of State for Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika, has said that the restructuring in the agencies under the Ministry of Aviation will continue and more workers in the organisations will have to leave or be redeployed.

    NCAA receives 68 passengers’ complaints in three months, Arik tops list

    According to reports, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority said it received a total of 68 complaints from domestic and international air passengers in the third quarter of 2016.

    This was contained in a document issued by the NCAA’s Consumer Protection Department, which was obtained by the News Agency of Nigeria on Tuesday in Lagos.

    It said 47 complaints were received from passengers flying international routes, while 21 were received from passengers on domestic routes.

    According to reports, the Civil Society Network Against Corruption has urged the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority to investigate the a commercial airline, Arik Air, for allegedly endangering passengers lives and violating safety rules.

    Arik tops NCAA’s delayed, cancelled flights chart

    Domestic airlines operating in Nigeria recorded 16,353 cases of delayed flights between January and June, statistics from the Consumer Protection Department of Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) have revealed.

    A document issued by the department and obtained on Thursday in Lagos, shows that 30,100 flights were operated by eight airlines during the period under review.

    According to reports, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority has directed passengers not to turn on or charge their Samsung Galaxy Note 7 devices on board aircraft following recent incidents and concerns raised by its manufacturers.

    Nigeria will save $3 billion yearly, if indigenous airlines maintain their aircraft locally.

    Speaking at the weekend, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Onedot Aviation, Capt. Henry Oludotun Ogunyemi, said the amount covered heavy maintenance checks on  some aircraft type, including Beoing, for which the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), had given its approval.
