It was gathered that the Sokoto State Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), has adopted a community based approach to check the activities of smugglers in the area.
Alhaji Sani Madugu, the NCS Comptroller in charge of Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara States, made this disclosure in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday in Sokoto.

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Federal Operations Unit (FOU) Zone “C” Owerri, said it seized 48 contraband with a Duty Paid Value (DPV) of N197.38 million in July.
The Customs Area Comptroller (CAC) of the unit, Mr David Dimka, announced this while addressing newsmen on the performance of the unit on Sunday in Owerri.
