President Muhammadu Buhari has sent the names of 46 nominees to the Senate as ambassadors.
Some of the names were mentioned by the Senate President Bukola Saraki on the senate floor on Thursday, among whom are Pauline Tallen, Olorunnimbe Mamora, George Oguntade, a former justice of the supreme court, also from Lagos state and Musa Ibeto who was formerly nominated minister before his nomination was withdrawn in 2015.

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the nomination of the Minister of Environment, Mrs Amina Mohammed, to serve in the African Union (AU) Reform Steering Committee.
The committee, headed by President Paul Kagame of Rwanda is tasked with ongoing institutional reforms of the AU Commission and its organs.
The committee, which comprises eminent persons from the continent, will work on part-time basis to produce a report for presentation to the 28th African Union Summit in January 2017.

President Muhammadu Buhari has nominated Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba as the Chairman of Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC.
Buhari, in a letter to Senate President, Bukola Saraki, also nominated erstwhile deputy governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Nsima Ekere, as the new Managing Director of the commission to take over from Mrs Ibim Semenitari, who is currently acting as MD of the commission.

According to reports, the Nigerian Communications Commission, has said it would provide ICT support to Zaria Academy to run its wireless cloud project (WCP).
The school has been nominated for the WCP under the NCC’s school support program (SSP).
