    It ws gathered that the Public Relations Officer, PRO, of the Ilorin Prison, in Kwara State, Mr Philip, has refuted reports making the rounds that some prison officials beat six inmates to death after they protested over poor quality of food given to them.

    According to reports, the Oke Kura Prison, Ilorin, Kwara State, was thrown into pandemonium on Thursday after six inmates were reportedly beaten to death by warders.

    Newsmen reported that 11 other inmates were seriously injured during the fracas which occurred around 2pm.

    Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the Federal Government will, this week, arraign all the judges accused of corruption, an authoritative source who prefers anonymity said yesterday.

    In a bid to kick-start the trial, the Federal Government has listed politicians, senior lawyers and some bank officials to testify against the judges.
