Delta state Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has sacked his Senior Special Assistant on Protocol, Mr. Temple Mudi, for allegedly defrauding the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara, of N250,000.

As a way out of the high unemployment rate in the country, Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, has flagged-off the 2016 cycle of his administration’s job creation scheme.
The programme was flagged-off at Amukpe, Sapele Local Council.The governor said during the initial programme, a total of 17,173 private sector jobs of both skilled and unskilled workers were created through projects, policies and programmes out of which 6,800 were direct jobs while 10,373 were indirect jobs, of both skilled and unskilled workers.

According to reports, No fewer than 147 “over-aged” teaching and non-teaching staff of Delta State-owned tertiary institutions have been pencilled down for retirement.
The affected staff are from the Colleges of Education in Agbor, Warri and Mosogar; as well as the three state-owned Polytechnics in Ogwashi-Uku, Otefe-Oghara and Ozoro respectively.

The Delta State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Asaba has dismissed the petition filed by Chief Great Ogboru of the Labour Party challenging the election of Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Ifeanyi Okowa, Delta State Governor, has commissioned a multi-million naira rice mill owned by Raymond Guanah Farms Limited, threatening to revoke all undeveloped plots of land at the Asaba industrial estate.
