Gunmen have shot and killed four personnel of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Obeafor community in Omoku, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State.
There was confrontation between the NSCDC operatives and suspected criminals, which led to the death of the victims on Monday.
The personnel were guarding oil facilities of the Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) in Obeafor when the bandits dressed in military fatigue ambushed them.

A bloody confrontation played out yesterday in Owerri, between some members of the Niger Delta Avengers, NDA, from Ohaji/Egbema local council area of Imo State, and operatives of Imo Security Network, ISN, which claimed the life of one of the Avengers.

It was gathered that the Inspector-General of Police (I-G), Mr Ibrahim Idris, has warned personnel of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) against unprofessional conduct.
The I-G gave the warning hours after he denied involvement of police officers in rights violation.

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Friday April 8, 2016 arrested the duo of Abbas Attahiru and Mohammed Sufiyanu for offences bordering on personation and obtaining by false pretence.
Attahiru and Sufiyanu’s arrest followed a complaint by a would be victim, that the suspects claiming to be staff of EFCC, informed him of a petition purportedly written against him.
Complainant, the suspects promised to give him a “soft landing” provided he was ready to part with some money.
