Former Presidents Goodluck Jonathan, Olusegun Obasanjo, General Ibrahim Babangida, Alhaji Shehu Shagari have not been paid their salaries and allowances since January this year, it was disclosed on Thursday.

Chairman, Senate Committee on Works, Sen. Kabiru Gaya, on Monday said the Petroleum Product Pricing Regulatory Agency, PPPRA, failed to remit the five per cent pump price levy to the federal government.
Gaya spoke in Abuja at the Public Hearing organised by the House of Representatives Committee on Works.
The hearing was on the repeal of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency Act 2002 and on Federal Roads Authority Bill, 2016 and National Roads Fund Establishment Bill.

Governor of Bayelsa State, Seraike Dickson said Timipre Sylva, former governor and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has no respect for the judiciary.
He claimed if Sylva had respect for the judiciary he would have paid him (Dickson) N500,000 as ordered by the Supreme Court.

Eko Electricity Distribution Company (DISCO), yesterday disclosed that the estimated debt accumulation from military formations within its network is about N600 million.
Managing Director of the company, Oladele Amoda, who made the disclosure in a statement, said about 60 per cent of the debt was being owed by the army, while about 30 and 10 per cent respectively, are shared by the Navy and Airforce.

It was gathered that the Association of Nigerian Electricity Distributors (ANED) has disclosed that the total debt being owed it by the Federal Government through its ministries, departments and agencies as at December 2015 was N60 billion.
This was revealed by Sunday Oduntan, Executive Director, research and advocacy for ANED, on Tuesday, at a media briefing in Abuja, where he explained that the debt was around N58 billion as of December 2015, but had now hit N60 billion in Q1 2016.
