    The result of investigations carried out by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on the involvement of Nigerians in documents leaked by the Panamanian law firm, Mossack Fonseca, otherwise known as the Panama Papers, will soon be made public, the Acting EFCC Chairman, Mr. Ibrahim Magu, has said.

    Nigeria former minister buys two penthouses for N836.8m – Panama papers reveal

    According to reports, a former minister for National Planning owns two expensive and luxurious penthouses in Panama, according to documents from the leaked Mossack Fonseca database.

    Mr. Rasheed Gbadamosi, who was recently appointed co-chairman of the Lagos at 50 planning committee, bought the two properties in 2008, while serving as chairman of the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA).     In early 2015, an anonymous source using the pseudonym “John Doe” made the massive documents, now known as Panama Papers, available in batches to German newspaper, Süddeutsche Zeitung.

    The information documents transactions as far back as the 1970s and eventually totaled 2.6 terabytes of data.

    The newspaper, according to Wikipedia, enlisted the help of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists, which distributed the documents for investigation and analysis to some 400 journalists at 107 media organizations in 76 countries.
