    President Muhammadu Buhari has warmly congratulated Nigeria’s team for an outstanding performance at the Paralympic games in Rio, Brazil.

    President Buhari joins all sports-loving Nigerians in commending the athletes for doing the country proud by winning 12 medals and setting new records, which made them the top-performing African team at the 2016 games.

    Nigeria’s Paralympic Team to arrive to a reception in Abuja on Sept 18th

    Sports Minister, Solomon Dalung, has revealed that the victorious team who represented Nigeria at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, will be received when they arrive in Abuja. According to him, a reception for the team will hold tomorrow – Sunday 18th September 2016, at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport reception ground by 3pm.

    Power lifter, Paul Kehinde, has won a second gold medal for the country at the ongoing Rio 2016 Paralympics.

    Nigeria wins first gold at Rio Paralympics

    Roland Ezuruike of Nigeria has won men’s 54kg powerlifting title to claim first gold for the country at ongoing Rio 2016 Paralympics.

    The 40-year old Ezuruike entered the contest lifting 185kg on the first try to set a new Paralympic record before he extended it with his second lift of 190kg.
