Hundreds of protesters on Monday stormed the premises of the Federal High Court, Abuja to protest the court judgement which ordered the unconditional release from custody of the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Sheik Ibraheem El-Zakzaky.
The protesters, who marched under the banner of the Coalition on Good Governance and Change Initiative and other Civil Society Groups, expressed concern over the judgement by Justice Gabriel Kolawole.

One person Monday lost his life during a protest by some workers of the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA).
The protesters who were said to be members of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) were demanding the sack of the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Adebiyi Daramola, who was alleged of financial impropriety.

Thousands of lawyers have stormed the streets of Abuja, in protest of the alleged continued disobedience of court orders by the State Security Service, SSS.

Protesters on Monday blocked the Uselu/Ugbowo section of the Benin-Lagos highway over plans by Egor Local Government Area of Edo State to relocate traders.
