    FEC approves N464m for purchase of 67 vehicles for FRSC

    According to reports, the Federal Executive Council (FEC) on Wednesday in Abuja approved 464 million naira for the purchase of 67 vehicles for the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC).

    The purchase of the vehicles is with a view to strengthen the commission’s capacity to carry out its responsibilities efficiently.

    Reps to probe 14 power firms over power purchase agreement

    Indications emerged yesterday that the engagement of 14 firms by the Federal Government under its Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) by the Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading (NBET) may be subjected to legislative investigation.

    The House of Representatives Committee on Power said the agreement with the 14 firms breached due process as there was no proper guideline for the engagement.

    According to reports, the Director General of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), Aminu Jalal, has disclosed that the Federal Government would soon float a car purchase loan scheme, to help citizens acquire new made-in-Nigeria cars.

    The Federal Government on Friday took the quest for sufficient power supply in the country a notch further with the signing of a Power Purchase Agreement with Kingline Development Nigeria Limited, a new power generation firm with Nigerian and South Korean interests.

    The Speaker, Jigawa State House of Assembly, Alhaji Idris Garba, has donated N1 million to 105 candidates to purchase scratch cards to register for the 2016 November/December NECO examination.
