    The Premierof Old Western Region, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi; and the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu, were on Friday, awarded for their tremendous contributions to improving the wellbeing of the people of the South West.

    Governor Masari appoints new GM for Katsina State Radio

    Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina State has approved the appointment of Alhaji Sani Bala Kabomo as the new General-Manager of the Katsina State Radio.

    This is contained in a statement issued by the Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Media, Mr Abdu Labaran, in Katsina on Saturday.

    Until his new appointment, Kabomo was a Director at the state radio.

    According to reports, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has condemned the action of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Facebook satellite, Mr Mark Zucherberg, in shutting down the Radio Biafra Facebook London group account from Facebook.

    Enugu begins radio programme for JSS students

    Learning in public schools is set to improve in Enugu State, with the launch of a radio school programme.

    The state Commissioner for Education, Prof. Uche Eze, launched the programme at the weekend.

    He explained that the pilot scheme would target junior secondary school students in four compulsory subjects, based on national the curriculum.

    The subjects, which are prepared in model lessons are English Language, Mathematics, Civic Education and Basic Science.
