    Man, 31, video-recorded himself raping girl

    A 31-year-old man, who allegedly has unlawful sexual intercourse with a 19-year-old girl and video recorded it, was on Monday brought before an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court.

    The accused, Kingsley Benjamin, is facing trial on a two-count charge of obscenity and rape.

    The prosecutor, Insp. Cousin Adams, told the court that the accused committed the offences on Sept. 20 at about 7.00 p.m at No. 9, Unity Ave., Etebi, in Ajangbandi area of Lagos.

    Ibeno Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State has recorded another major oil spill from Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited, operator of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation/MPN joint Venture offshore.

    Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, the Vice-President of Nigeria has advised the Nigeria Police on the need to record confessional statements of suspects on video, as a means of tackling custodial violence.
