    It was gathered that the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola, on Thursday said the Federal Government would not revoke the privatisation of the nation’s power sector.

    Fashola made the assertion at the 5th European Union (EU)-Nigeria Business Forum with the theme: “Harnessing Nigeria’s Potential for Economic Growth” in Lagos.

    FG threatens to revoke Ekiti federal varsity building contracts

    It was gathered that the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Government Projects has threatened to revoke some contracts awarded at the Federal University, Oye Ekiti, in Ekiti State.

    The committee issued the threat after inspecting some ongoing projects at the institution.

    The team, led by the Deputy Director of Procurement in the Federal Ministry of Education, Mr. Musa Odiniya, particularly warned Tripod Nigeria Ltd. and Dumaco Best – the contractors handling the Central Administrative Block and the University Library projects, respectively.

    Governor Wike threatens to revoke two road contracts

    Rivers State Governor, Mr. Nyesom Wike, has threatened to revoke the road contracts of the Sakpwenwa-Bori Road and the Tam David Boulevard also known as Obiri-Ikwere Road because of slow pace of work.

    Wike summoned the two contractors, CCECC for Sakpwenwa-Bori Road and CGC for Tam David West Boulevard (Obiri-Ikwere Road) to explain why they should be allowed to continue with the projects despite their slow pace of work.
