    19 feared dead along Enugu-Abakaliki Expessway

    19 people are feared to have died following multiple accidents involving commercial vehicles on Wednesday on the Enugu-Abakaliki Expressway

    The accidents occurred almost concurrently along the major highway on Ezilo axis of Ishielu council area and 135 Ezzamgbo in Ohaukwu council area also claiming the lives of some of the drivers.

    Corps Marshal and Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Mr. Boboye Oyeyemi, has said that zone 4 of the corp made up of Benue, Nasarawa and Plateau states has the highest rate of accidents in the country.

    Road accidents reduced by 15% between January and May – FRSC

    The Federal Road Safety Commission says road traffic accidents in Nigeria reduced by 15 per cent from January to date.

    Bulus Darwang, the Assistant Corps Marshal in charge of Kaduna, Kano, Katsina and Jigawa States, disclosed this to newsmen on Wednesday during a familiarisation visit to FRSC Unit Command under Zaria in Kaduna State.
