Corps Marshal of the Nigerian Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Boboye Oyeyemi, has disclosed that the Corps lost nine of their officers to road crashes in the last six months.
Oyeyemi who stated this during the flag off of the Ember months campaign held at the NURTW Motor Park, North Bank, Makurdi Benue State capital yesterday maintained that over 50 percent of road crashes that occurred in the country in the last six months were caused by over-speeding.

The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) says a total of 12, 077 road crashes were recorded across the country in 2015.
The FRSC Corps Marshal, Dr Boboye Oyeyemi, disclosed this in Uyo on Wednesday while addressing a public enlightenment forum organised for transport stakeholders at old Akwa Transport Corporation (AKTC) park.

The Federal Road Safety Corps on Wednesday said that no fewer than 331 persons lost their lives to road accidents its Jos Zone, from January to August.
The Corps Marshal and FRSC Chief Executive Officer, Boboye Oyeyemi, said this while flagging-off the 2016 Ember Months Campaign and Sensitisation on the Speed Limiting Device.
The Jos Zone of the FRSC comprises Benue, Plateau and Nasarawa States.
