    Saudi Arabia: 15 spies get the death sentence

    A Court in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday sentenced 15 people to death for being guilty of spying for the kingdom’s arch-enemy, Iran.

    This ruling could further aggravate tension between the two rival powers.

    The Specialised Criminal Court in Riyadh sentenced 15 other suspects to prison terms ranging from six months to 25 years, and acquitted two.

    It was gathered that the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has confirmed the death of two pilgrims from the state in Saudi Arabia during the 2016 Hajj.

    The Public Relations Officer of the board, Alhaji Nuhu Badamasi, confirmed this in a telephone interview on Saturday in Kano.
