The Nigeria Customs Service says it is contemplating the replacement of obsolete scanners to reduce delay in cargo clearance at the ports and land borders.
Its Comptroller-General, retired Colonel Hameed Ali, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos on Tuesday.
According to Ali, the fund for the procurement of new scanners had been captured in the 2016 budget.
